Edinburg, Texas - U.S. Border Patrol agents in the Rio Grande Valley apprehended three criminal aliens over the weekend.
On Friday, Falfurrias agents arrested a Salvadoran man whose record checks revealed a previous arrest and conviction for rape in Butler County, Ohio.
That same day, McAllen agents encountered a Salvadoran man after he illegally entered the United States south of Mission, Texas. During a brief interview, the man admitted to being a member of the notoriously violent 18th Street gang.
On Sunday, Falfurrias agents arrested a Salvadoran man in the vast brush lands of Brooks County as he attempted to circumvent the immigration checkpoint. During processing, record checks indicated the man is also a member of the 18th Street gang.
All subjects will be processed accordingly.
