Laredo, Texas - U.S. Border Patrol Laredo Sector and family members of Jeffrey Ramirez, joined together for a commemorative ceremony at the Hebbronville Border Patrol Station.

On September 14, Laredo Sector Acting Chief Patrol Agent Jason D. Owens provided a keynote address for the family, friends, and agents who gathered to pay tribute to Border Patrol Agent Jeffrey Ramirez, who lost his life on September 15, 2012, while protecting our nation’s borders.  For this special tribute, family members and friends of Agent Ramirez also provided words of inspiration and comfort as part of the solemn event.

The ceremony involved the presentation of colors, a 21-gun salute, a flyover by CBP Air and Marine Operations, and other honors bestowed upon a fallen agent.  It concluded with the retirement of the colors by Laredo Sector’s Border Patrol Honor Guard.
